Our initiatives…
Current Project:
HHHH is proudly supporting Project CATE, a vital initiative delivered in partnership with the Bridge to Türkiye Fund (BTF), focused on children and young people aged 0–21 who lost limbs as a result of the earthquake in 2023.
The program supports children as they grow, helping them rebuild independence, confidence, and hope for the future through:
- High‑quality prosthetic limbs, with replacements every 2–3 years as children grow
- Ongoing physical rehabilitation, supporting mobility and independence
- Psychological and emotional support, accompanying children through childhood and into young adulthood
For these children, recovery is not just about survival — it is about restoring dignity and creating opportunities for a full and empowered life.
Completed Projects:
With the support of donors and partners, HHHH has delivered a diverse range of humanitarian, health, education, and community‑focused initiatives as follows:
- Funded the reconstruction of İskenderun Technical University’s Vocational School (IMYO) campus in collaboration with the Eymir Culture Foundation (EKV), Bridge to Türkiye Fund (BTF), and Rotary Club Sydney Darling Harbour.
- Provided prosthetic limbs to children affected by the earthquake in collaboration with the BTF.
- Delivered hands‑on assistance to earthquake survivors living in temporary shelters across multiple locations
- Supported the Defne Women’s Cooperative to establish logistics for product distribution in Hatay province
- Supported a clean water supply project in Hatay province led by Yol Açık Yola Çık
- Contributed to the establishment of Cello Koop, an agricultural cooperative in Hatay province, in partnership with ODTÜMİST
- Supported children’s education through initiatives delivered via the İLKYAR Foundation
- Supplied chemotherapy chairs for young patients at Behçet Uz Children’s Hospital
- Distributed wheelchairs to children through the Bedensel Engellilerle Dayanışma Derneği (Solidarity Association for the Physically Disabled)
- Supported the Empowerment Scholarships Program by the BTF
- Provided essential hygiene products to Darüşşafaka and the Nesin Foundation
- Funded a new library at Kıcı Primary School in Hatay province, creating a safe and engaging learning environment with access to books and toys
- Supported Yuva and Samandağ Çevre Koruma ve Turizm Derneği in collaboration with BTF in safeguarding the Milleyha Wetland in Hatay through the development of education and conservation centres, along with an observation tower. This initiative helps protect one of Türkiye’s most precious natural ecosystems — a vital habitat for 315 bird species, endangered sea turtles, and the rare endemic plant Arum milleyhanum.
